Plenty of mistakes were made. But this is for my son and he still uses the floor for a trash can, so it is acceptable enough.
Originally was planning to do wood stain after epoxy but wife insisted on painted black. That posed some hurdles and ended up doing a clear flood coat to smooth out the epoxy pours and cover some spillage.
Didnt like the glossy finish so sanded with 350 and sprayed with poly satin. Looks like garbage.
Something happened with the zero-ing during carve and didnt notice until it was too late.
And the dang led tap is fragile. Broke two strips and thought I had it on the third. Something tore again. So hard to fold these cheap leds without tearing.
@Clt49er Still looks good. Making mistakes is the best way to learn. I’ve made plenty. Hopefully you can correct some of them. Otherwise, learn to live with them. And I’m a perfectionist, so it’s really hard to do. But I’m learning that too.
I remember when I was first getting into CNC and woodworking and one of things I read was “Don’t point out your mistakes, they might not even notice”. I understand pointing them out here but I thought it was good advice as I, like many others, can be overly critical of myself and my work.
I think a casual viewer is most likely to just think it’s awesome, which it is!
