Longmill SLB_EXT home location

I’ve going from a 30x30m2 and upgrading it into a 48x30 with SLB-EXT and in the manual it specifically states the 2 new Y limit sensors are in the BACK. This put home in the BACK Left which is the farthest most inconvenient place for me to turn the Makita on and off.
I’m asking anyone that has already done the SLB_EXT upgrade is there any reason i can’t keep them in the FRONT where i had the single sensor on the Longmill?

I have an Altmill. The home sensors for Y are in the back but that only means that physical home of the machine is at that position. It doesn’t mean that actual (for normal use) home position is there. You jog the tool to your preferred home position and then set this position as home in gSender.
Note that gSender x/y/z positions have two values - one (the smaller number) is the absolute physical position which is generally never used. The larger, more prominent location information is what is normally used and is based on where YOU say home is located.
Jeez I am having a hard time trying to explain myself … hopefully you get the idea.

Just to complicate matters, you can have multiple home locations based on the workspace you have selected.

@LewisB314 @Jens is correct. The physical home is at the rear left but you can set your zeros anywhere. And since gSender has several workspaces, you can have multiple zeros at the same time. This is useful if your table can accommodate several projects at the same time.

A lot of people interchange the use of the terms “home” and “zeros”. Even though “home” is commonly used to mean the current zero position, I only use it for the physical zero (at the rear left). I think it’s just confusing otherwise.
