I modified the hose adapter for the original dust boot by downloading the design in STEP format and added tabs for screws in FreeCAD. I’ve uploaded the FreeCAD files and .STL files to Thingiverse (Modified Adapter-Longmill Dust Boot v1 by falviani - Thingiverse). If the project doesn’t show up in a few days I can add the files here.

I love this idea! Don’t know how many times I had to print a new one! 
@falviani That’s an excellent improvement, Frank. I haven’t used mine in a long time, but when I did, that part was always a problem for me.
