I see. Possibly fatigue induced by a slight misalignment between the X-axis motor and the gantry then?
I could see that, though it would have to be very slight since the tolerances on the fit are so good.
@chrismakesstuff I will be ordering a new motor tomorrow, I have directions from Patrik on how to order it. I’m wondering if it may have been caused from “whip” in the X-axis threaded shaft, as I have noticed quite a bit of whip there when the carriage is closer to either end (mainly when just traversing the carriage at 3000 mm/min) even though I have the Acme locknut nice and tight. Wondering if I should slow down the max speed even further to keep it from happening again. The shaft couplers on mine look the same as on the website, so I’m assuming they are the V2 ones you’re referring to.
