No homing when first connected

I upgraded to SLB today. When I connect to machine in Gsender using usb , Gsender does not home machine. No click to home button appears. How do I home when connected

@Tim1 I should have asked this with my first reply. You did update your firmware settings to show that you had switches, correct? If not, open the SLB tech manual and it will show what settings need to be changed.

@Tim1 I’m afraid that’s the limit of my meager knowledge of these things. Since you have changed the appropriate firmware settings and power cycled the SLB, I cannot understand why the option to home is not shown in gSender.
I would open a support ticket.
Please report back when you have the solution.

Hi @Tim1, you should check that the setting “Homing on startup required” has been turned on, since if this isn’t turned on then the machine won’t tell gSender that it needs to home, so no homing button will appear. Also just for your reference, as long as you’ve turned $22 Homing cylce Enable on, then gSender should always show a ‘Home’ button near the jogging buttons for you to home manually anytime you want.
