I want to make a wood top to my firepit. Thoughts on the below?
2x3 pine studs glued and clamped.
Carved with epoxy fill.
Top coat with a uv protectant epoxy.
Finish with a marine spar.
Firepit is in full sun. In NC. I would like it survive in good condition for at least five years.
Would penetrating epoxy (Total Boat) be even better?
