Output for sending 5v signal after turning the SLB on

Good afternoon

Got a question about outputs. Is it possible for a 5V reference voltage to show up when I turn on the SBL for one of the outputs? I want to hook up my VFD to a relay so that when I switch on the SBL, the VFD will start up too.

VFD for .. a spindle? If so, spindles have dedicated outputs on the SLB: speed, enable, direction, etc. You’ll want to look into those, they should integrate directly with the VFD inputs, no relay needed. I’ve just been through this, if you can give more details on your VFD I can likely offer more pointed guidance if needed.

Hey Bmor,

Welcome to the forum.
I think a usable 5V sup to power a small relais might be available in the led ring connector.
Since your relais will be powered on all the time, you can opt to use the ledstrip option that uses an external supply.

You can dive into these options here:

Thanks for the help so reading i can use sw2 P1 and use command M64 and M65 to turn on and off my vfd I will do a macro and idea is to use a 3 phase relay to send 220v to power the vfd

As long as you keep in mind that sw1 and sw2 are limited to a single Amp. Being am inductor, a relais may peak well beyond it’s designated amperage.
A flyback diode over the coil may be wise to include, if the relais isn’t fitted with one yet.

You might also want to consider a latching relays, to not draw a constant current for long periods through the fet.
