My wife is a bit of a shoe nut, so I thought that I would test the idea of making these to make a piece of “shoe art”. Now that I know how the process works, the plan is to do something worth hanging on a wall.
In the meantime, here is one for your consideration and critique.
This was is about 30" x 24". The slats are 1/4" thick with a 1/4" gap between. Done in MDF.
@Swinly I used VCarvePro. It has a slicing feature, but this concept does not use it. Here is a link to Michael Mezalick’s youtube video showing the process. The beauty of it is that, without tiling, the design can be 30" tall using a 30 x 30 Long Mill. The width can be anything since the number of slats is infinite.
