Hey @DavidR8, this seems to be a discrepancy in the wording so I let the team know about it. Fundamentally a closed-loop motor is essentially an open-loop motor but with a motor driver strapped to the back - this means that any board designed to run a closed-loop motor can theoretically run open-loop motors as well as long as you’re wiring in external stepper motor drivers that are compatible.
