I am trying to make this into a 3d model so I can make a few sets of these. Has anyone ever made these? Can some one help me figure it out…
Hello Sean, to make that into a 3D model ‘by hand’ is no small task but I have some options.
You can use a model that someone else made. I searched for ‘submarine warfare insignia stl’ and found some models of varying quality with the better ones not being free.
You could also use a 3D scanner but I’m guessing that if you had one you wouldn’t have posted this question and they are not exactly cheap.
You could also try photogrammetry software like Meshroom which works by creating a model from a bunch of photographs that you take.
