I am thinking it would be nice if there was a place to put some machine info and photo in user profiles. It would be easier to help people that had filled out a little information for their machine.
And we wouldn’t have to repeat what we have for kit so much. Thoughts?
Michael, if this is what you are thinking about, there’s already a place (albeit unformatted).
Settings/Account (click your avatar), Preferences, Profile, About Me.
There are two places for an image of whatever.
If you view a user’s profile, click any EXPAND button present to see the image.
I forgot that we could add images there. I did know about the bio, and I check it when I don’t have enough info from a post to see if I can get any more info there. That’s actually what me think of my suggestion.
I still think we could benefit from a little structure because I think maybe more people would post machine info if there was a dedicated place for it.
For now I’m going to update my own bio with my machine info and maybe I’ll add some images soon. Thanks for reminding me of that.
