Testing a carve top file

I finally had time to test out my long mill with a serious carve. This is for my carve top model. It went so smoothly, aside from a bit of play in the Z-Axis.
I only used the finish pass toolpath.

Adjust the Z and you should be golden.

Loosen the lock bolt on the bottom nut a bit and snug up the nut. Then hold the hold the top pulley with one hand and use the hex key to keep a bit of pressure on the bottom nut to keep it tight as you tighten the lock bolt and you should be good to go.

Hey thanks. I did end up doing that and will go over the test blank again today. Everything else is performing like a dream. :+1:

I finally got to the actual carve, and the whole thing went flawlessly. 1hr-45min.

This is literally why I got my Longmill this weekend. Looking forward to my attempts!
Looks cool to me. I assumed I’d knock out the pickups, knobs and maybe even bridge mounting holes as well, wondered why you didn’t.
