I agree. I have a couple of digital levels that are only a couple of inches long. When placed on top of a bubble level, you get a digital level 2’-6’ long with no interpretation required. Only accurate to two decimal places but more than close enough for woodworking. Amazon carries brass shim stock…
That is what I ended up doing.I was a bit sceptical of shimming at the router but it seems to be working out well.
