I’ve looked at other topics about this but they did not give me the answer I need.
First, the setup… Longmill Mk2.5 30x30, Gsender v1.5.2, inductive limit switches from Sienci.
Following instructions online I was able to install the limit switches and they test out to be working fine. I followed both install guide and videos to set zero at the front left corner. I zeroed in that position. I then moved the spindle to a random location and tried the home button. This just continuously throws alarm(8), homing fail each time I click on it. I than tried to use the (don’t know what it’s called) icons to move to the left front corner and all it did was zoom to the location and try push through. Horrible sound! It also reset the spindle location so zero was not in the front left position anymore.
I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, please help!
are you using the super long board? do you have 1 or 2 y axis sensors? what about the x axis?
something tells me the dimensions are not defined in g sender
There is 1 sensor on each axis and yes to the SLB. Other than setting the x an y axis maximum travel, which are correct, I don’t see anything else to set except for selecting the correct model from the dropdown at the bottom of the config tab, which is also correct.

Here, this is my preferences file from my gsender. It sounds like you have things physically good, so maybe you can compare. This is for my working 4x4 altmill MK1. Change the file extention back to .customization if you wish to import on a non production instance for a better look.

Thanks! I’ll take a look through this and compare to what I have for my LongMill 30x30.
Thanks again for the file. Since I decided to start over and had nothing to lose, I just used your configuration and made appropriate changes for my machine and homing now works! Still having a small issue with parking but that’s not on the top of my list right now. Thanks again!
