Upgrading Laser Help

I am looking at upgrading my laserbeam to a Laser Tree 20 or 30 watt. I have a 30x30 Longmill MK2 . If anyone has any experience with laser upgrades can you advise if the Longmill speeds can handle the potential speed of a 30 Watt. Any direction on what you would recommend, a 20 or 30 would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I don’t have any worthwhile info on this, but here is a link to a post by @Mickus where he reviews the LaserTree 20W. It may be helpful

@JHiggs2024 , I got the K20 a few months ago and am very happy with it. I think if you want to do engraving and cutting the K20 is your best bet. I think I if I was buying now I’d get the K20 Pro because the laser beams aspect ratio is closer to square, compared to the K20’s rectangular beam, although it doesn’t seem to be causing any problems for what I’ve done.

Though I do not use a laser very much l have been happy with the laser tree 20w. For engraving I run at 6000mm/min, cutting is slower but will cut 1/8 birch ply in 1 pass, 1/4 in 2, Installation was easy as is focusing. I personally don’t have a need for the extra power of the 30 or 40 but others may.

Thank you for all the input. I think based on all the comments it looks like the 20w is the way to go. Thanks again

@JHiggs2024 FWIW, I believe that you have made a good choice. Be sure to post your projects in the show off category.
