Probably a stupid question, but I can’t find a definitive answer anywhere…
When looking at the front of the Vortex and jogging the A+ should it turn counterclockwise or clockwise?
I ask because the new version of Edge-7 has A+ pointing clockwise and A- pointing counterclockwise which is the opposite of the behavior that I experience.
I tried enabling A-Axis in firmware $3 (Step direction invert) to get it to match the jog controls, but any rotary job containing text carves a mirror image. All is good when disabling A-Axis in $3, however, the jog rotation does not match the jog icons.
Trying to figure out if the icons or my settings are incorrect. Thanks in advance.
Did you ever get this solved? I’m having the same problem. Sienci said just to reverse the axis. I’m just confused my the directions on the site and the videos don’t mention the need to do this.
I went back to default. Do not reverse the A axis. In gSender the icon direction has changed several times. I just learned to ignore it. To ensure you have the A axis turning in the correct direction, I recommend that you do a simple job which carves some text. If the text comes out mirror image, change the A Axis direction in firmware. If it’s good, your settings are correct.
