Walnut chessboard

Here’s a walnut chessboard with white epoxy. Used a 1/16" endmill to cut the “white” squares, about 2mm deep. Used a 60 deg vee for the logo on the bottom of the board; I used black CA glue for that, as it was a pretty small area to fill.

Sanded to 320 and finished with two coats of Osmo.

Pieces are 3D printed off my Ender 3v2. I don’t think the plastic/wood combo is the best, but haven’t ventured into 2 sided carving yet for some wood pieces, wood love to see if anyone has carved chess pieces?

@jason.shoes A very imaginative idea for a “black and white” effect, Jason. :+1:
