Where to buy aluminum block like used in the T-Rex video?

I’m interested in trying some metal milling at some point, but I was wondering where you can find appropriate grade aluminum in a block form like the piece used in the T-Rex milling video. Canadian or US sources welcome.

Thanks,

Jeff: Where are you? I have a source in Ottawa, though it’s likely closed right now.

Vancouver. What would I be asking for if I can find a local metals supermarket place?

It looks like you have 3 metals supermarkets in vancouver. I just go into the “shorts” room at the one here and buy offcuts. I think that I usually end up with 6061. I’ve not tried it on my CNC yet, but I can turn it on my lathe using gouges made for wood.
