Has anyone that uses Carveco products ever tried to open ArtCAM .art files? I know Carveco is basically ArtCAM but even ArtCAM at one point chnaged their file format and you couldn’t open files creeated in their older software.
I am using an old MultiCAM 1000 and ArtCAM 2008 has a post pro. for that CNC but I’ve just ordered a new Camaster and ArtCAM does not have a post for this machine so I have to move to a CAD program that does. Carveco appears to support the CAMaster so if I can find some way to convert my files then I’m golden with Maker but if not and I have to redo every cut file…
Thanks
Mike

Thanks for the information, it seems that versions of Carveco software about 1.6 should do the trick just fine. I had emailed Carveco directly but the response was that they just didn’t know and it depended on what was contained in my CAD files as any 3D objects would not likley work. But I think I’ll try out the software and confirm it that way.
Thanks
Mike
