It seems I may have come accross a bug in Gsender 1.4.9. When using any workspace other than G54 (G57in my case), I zero my router at the bottom left of my material, use the laser slider in Gsender and hit Goto X/Y0 to enable the offset. So far so good everything works. When I start the program the machine travels to the start point of the program but uses the center of the router as the coordinate point to start and not the laser. It appears it is ignoring the new zero set with the offsets from the firmware. After some testing this happens in every workspace other than G54. If I use G54 and follow the same process everything works as it should
@Phildo While waiting from a reply from Sienci tech, it could help if you would upload one gcode file that shows this happening.
You didn’t actually say what design software you are using to generate the gcode.
This was designed on Lightburn. Gcode attached.
Poker Dice Board Laser - Copy.gcode (764.1 KB)
@Phildo If I am reading this correctly, your gcode is setting your workspace to G54 in the first executable line after the comments.
I should have looked there first. Why would Lightburn insert code for a workspace? I obviously have never used workspaces with my laser before. Do you know where to look for the option to turn off that code when generating in Lightburn? I have done a quick search on Google but nothing yet. I will keep looking.
Sorry for wasting anyone’s time
thanks
@Phildo You may want to post that question on the LB forum. There are good guys there.
I’ll close this topic.
