Alarm 17 while surfacing

I am trying to surface the spoilboard on my Altmill 4x4. I have followed Sienci’s video cnc tips/surfacing 101’ The spindle starts moves in the y direction -0.848 then goes back to start point where i get the Alarm 17 mortor fault. Any help is greatly appreciated

@Roysecreekdesigns have you used the machine successfully before?

Let’s skip the surfacing routine for now.

If you home the machine, does it complete the homing sequence? It should go to the rear left (the machine zero) when complete.

Thanks Chucky_ott I think I may have missed something in the surfacing 101 program and that was the reason for the alarm 17. I went into vectric and created a surfacing progarm and it worked without any alarms.
