AltMill 2 problem

I set up to make a product run. 1st one goes fine using the AutoZero touch plate. Next run on a new piece if lumber using the same plate - does the Z, does the X. When it goes to do the Y axis it stops and gives me a 10 alarm when it first touches the Y bottom edge of the plate. Pushes it off the work piece.

I have checked all of my measurements - twice. Double checked the G code. Tried again. Same result. Powered down and rebooted. Same result. Went back to Vcarve Pro. completely rebuilt the project. Same result.

WHAT AM I MISSING?

Ladies and Gentlemen… From the country of only smart people, let me introduce to you..

Michael!

 I stopped writing when I saw you pop up!

I take it you’ve never been across the pond!

So here we go. Alarm 10 is EStop, if you made a mistake and it’s Error 10 that’s soft limits. The probing shouldn’t have anything to do with the G-code. It’s just setting the zero point for the job. Just putting that out there so you don’t mess with VCarve trying to fix it.

If it’s the Alarm 10 I’d double check the wiring. Is this a new build? I’m assuming it is because we’re in the assembly category.

@Groucho194 Any chance you are probing off the wrong corner? At the top right of the probing section, there’s a little diagram that shows you the corner you are using.

@_Michael taught me that one :joy:

@Spamming_Eddie I’ll say hi to Princess Margriet on your behalf if I happen to see her at the tulip festival.
