After assembling the machine i turned it on and used the jog function to test movement. The movement in the Y direction went about half way then error 10. Y2 stopped moving, I turned the coupler by hand and Y2 was much stiffer than Y1. I took the motor off and Y2 was still very stiff to turn. I swapped the motors and tried the machine again. Now as you would guess Y1 has an issue and won’t move. Anyone else had similar issues? Any fixes?
With the motors un-powered, turning the motor shaft should be very easy. If it is stiff then the motor is more than likely defective.
