Assembling my longmill 48 by 30

unboxed and notices the xrail was about 57 inches does this need do be cut. I am new and want to do it correctly.

I don’t have a 48, but I’d guess that allows for length to hang over the Y rails.

Hi Lyall,

Welcome to the forum.
I have a 48x30 and my xrail is about 1450mm. thats about 57 freedom units.
When mounted this gives about 1280mm (50 inch) true cutting area (x gantry takes some space away)

Sienci delivers on what they promise. You will have 48x30 cutting space and some to be able to actual surface that machine bed.

So yeah.. 57inch sounds about right.
