I watched the YouTube demo on how to setup auto probe. I select it but the tool options only show various end mill diameters while I would like to use a 6.2 deg tbn bit.
I have upgraded my mk1 to the latest firmware and still no change.
Welcome to the group @mtrain! I don’t have the auto probe, so not much help there, but wanted to make sure that you are aware that you can zero the XY with another bit and then do a Z only probe with the tapered ball nose. That way you can proceed with the job.
EDIT: Have you selected the auto touch plate in Settings>Probe? That may be the problem and then you won’t need the workaround above. I have gSender 1.2.2 and I see auto and tip if I select the auto touch plate in settings. It also changes the graphic in the probe section to reflect the selected block.
First of all, welcome to the forum @mtrain! Great people, willing to help. I use the auto probe, and I don’t choose any bit in gsender. I simply touch off (ensuring connectivity) and allow my MK2 do the work. My only issue ever is with the paint that often covers new router bits. No connection, and I get an alarm. As @_Michael said, make sure you pick the auto probe from the drop-down in the lower right hand side of the screen. Hope this helps!
Once again, welcome!
