SO let me start off by saying I am brand new to this (I know no excuses) but am I the only knucklehead that keeps smashing the dust shoe? If I am machining a full board (48x48) I keep crushing my dust shoe, which is now mostly made up of CA glue, so how do I avoid this? Even when I was cutting my wasteboard using the Microjig method I again crushed and when I set stops alarms went off like crazy because my parameters were outside the stops. Is there a more slender or form fitting dust shoe or in the case of larger cut you just have to let the dust fly? Thanks all and be safe!
As you mentioned - custom dust shoe (doesnβt everybody have a 3D printer by now? kidding of course) or letting the dust fly.
On a recent carve where my fixturing would have been interfering, I just set some 2* lumber along the 4 sides and that contained 90% of the crap.
I am also still contemplating how best to implement vacuuming holding.
