About to get rid of my first spoilboard and add T track with slats and i’m also planning on adding a TLS probe. Just curious where others had placed their probe?
My current thinking is as far left as I can possibly go to the front of the machine and then build my t-track/slat board starting from there? Any issues with that?
Sounds good Thats where my ATC is and it works well for tooling access etc. It means I have a section of the bed on the left I don’t use but there is still enough width.
are you using the rapidchange ATC? and if so, how do you like it.
I put mine to the far left back. I still can’t get it to work im stuck on that
Yeah the more I thought about it, why wouldn’t I just put it directly under my home position? Seems to take up the least space and it a pretty easy known coordinate.
If u get urs wired and working let me know. I know its gotta be something I over looked…
Yes I am running the rapidchange. I really like it. I have only done jobs that require 2 or 3 changes but it has worked very well for me. It parks itself if a change fails quite successfully. I have really only had that happen during setup and testing. I have ran it overnight and unattended quite successfully several times now. I would recommend. It can be a bit fussy to get the engagement right but a couple of cycles and its dialled in. The TLS is great too.
