Connecting XBOX controller

I am unable to connect my recently purchased xbox controller.

“undefined Connected” but “xbox wireless controller” is connected under bluetooth devices.

@jcampsall this might be because of an issue with bluetooth controller support, though @walid_kayhan might have some other ideas

It looks like the gamepad profile associated with this controller might be corrupt, or at least the name is. If the controller was never used in gSender or is not one of the two default ones, it will give a different notification message saying this is a new controller and to set up a profile for it in the settings.

Try going to the gamepad settings and deleting all the profiles, and then setting up a new one for this controller of yours again that should fix the issue

Was this issue ever resolved? I also have a xbox controller that I would like to use to drive my CNC through gSender. I do a lot of resurfacing of circular epoxy resin inlay art work and it would be REALLY useful to be able to have the fine control potentially offered by the XBOX controller. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with how to set up user-defined profiles for the controller as was suggested. Is there any chance that a brief setup tutorial PDF could be made to cover how to do this?

Cheers, Tig

We have documentation on how to set up and use your controller with gSender here:

We are still investigating this issue that was mentioned, it might’ve been the settings migration process acting up when updating to the latest version of gSender.

Hi Walid, thanks for sending through the information on the controller. Unfortunately, I am still having problem with trying to control my router through gSender with my xbox controller. I have attached a picture of my controller, which is slightly different from the one shown in your documentation. I have included screenshots from my PC showing that 1) my PC recognizes the xbox controller via a wireless connection, 2) that i can choose the xbox profile from the short cut menu but when I do 3) all of the jogging options are allocated to keyboard options and there is no mention of joystick control anywhere. Funnily enough in this configuration the ONLY thing on the controller that does anything at all is the joystick. However, the movement increments are not related to the gSender settings and appear to be random and over which i have no control. When I try to add a new profile I get a message saying that the xbox controller profile already exists so it seems to be recognizing the my controller but they are not communicating in any way useful to my needs. Also when I try to reallocate buttons (A,B,X, or Y) I can do that but the result in the profile list is for keyboard entries even though I set it to a controller button. All I’m trying to achieve is to have jogging control where I can regulate the speed and direction in X,Y and control Z movemet in “normal” and “precise” increments. I am probably doing something basic wrong, but I cant work out where the communication problem is occurring. When I use an xbox app on my PC all of the buttons as well as the joystick respond as expected. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
