Edge 7 & 1.4.xx issues

I actually have not gotten to use it that much but the first thing that I noticed that when given the option to convert from millimeters to inches it doesn’t do anything. After turning on the switch it does not convert the rest of the numbers to inches like my previous and much older version. This translates to the speed control buttons. If previously the text box for the Rapid movement said 5000 mm and should now convert to Inches. The label doesn’t change nor does the number in the text box.

Now, on to the main bug issues. I am running GRBL 1.1f and supposedly the newer versions are work with all GRBL machines but in my case it does not. These are the bugs.

Edge - After finding the zoom out buttons to locate the Precise Normal and Rapid buttons I do see the values in each one and they are different. However, when I move my X & Y, no matter what button I have pressed, the result is the same. It does not change speed or do anything.

Gsender 1.4.xx I also downloaded the newest version which resulted in exactly the same issue which I have not mentioned yet. When I press Z I hear a clicking sound. I do not get any warnings and it locks down my entire machine for both Edge and Gsender.
Another glitch with Gsender 1.4.xx is the GUI does not display correctly. Buttons and numbers are out of its boundaries. This is not an issue with my display or any graphic display issues. In my opinion, this is an error in the. getScreenSize function or whatever the programmers named it.
I deleted 1.4 with the GUI errors with no hope of operating it in the future.

I did not delete Edge as there are not GUI errors even though I do hope to find the problem in the future.

Solutions I have tried- I also have a MacBook with gsender that I have been using to operate my machines. It works correctly. I can Immediately unplug the usb from the new computer to the MacBook and run the machine with no problems. It has version 1.2.2.
And yes I have gone through all the settings with a fine tooth comb and even imported and exported all settings from one machine to another and still cannot get Edge to work correctly.

Last night I gave up. There is only one place that I found that you still have a link for version 1.2.2 and I gave in and downloaded that one also for the new windows computer. Upon downloading the x64 version and opening it and connecting it immediately worked without any issues whatsoever!

I have emailed tech support but I have not received a reply yet. I really don’t even know if they got it. Currently I’m keeping edge in hopes of using it one day but right now, even if it did work I wouldn’t use it cause it doesn’t convert millimeters to inches.
