Anyone tempted to fill the X axis with epoxy granite to dampen things a bit?
The only thing worrying me is the weight and if it would cause any deflection in the center of the axis.

Not sure what issues you are having that would require dampening. Can you elaborate?
I think the most beneficial thing to do would be to stiffen the legs. I’ll be doing mine later this week.

Generally speaking anything you can do to reduce resonance will improve your cutting, especially on aluminium for surface finish.
I could be wrong but it sounds kind of permanent if it doesn’t help. That and wouldn’t that extra weight make the table shake even more unless you turned down acceleration? I think it was one of Sienci’s videos that said acceleration has more impact on carve time than speed for most jobs so that’s something to consider.
Not an expert on this type of thing but those are my thoughts.
