I am new to this machine and have been anxious to get it going. I’ve gotten my machine together and have been trying to get it to run. I have an error 50 message that the E stop is active, and I have not been able to clear it. The two red lights on it are not on. I have checked the wiring and connections, and everything seems to be correct. I had the machine jogging around and going to home, but it will not do any of that now. I sent a message to Scienci several hours ago but have not heard back from them. I would appreciate any advice.
That’s strange. Don’t even see 50 listed Alarms List – Sienci Labs or Errors List – Sienci Labs . I assume you have tried powering everything off and back on?
Silly question - you did check that the estop button was released right? (twist knob to let it pop out)
Thanks for the response Jen’s. Not a silly question at all. I have released it several times throughout the day. I just don’t have a clue to what’s going on with this.
When you checked all the connections, did you check the connections on the motors? Did you check the connectors on the controller (they have a nasty habit of coming undone). Did you try unplugging and re-plugging all the connections? Did you examine the motor connectors for a possible loose wire? I don’t know if this would work but maybe see what happens if you disconnect the estop cable at the controller.
BTW, all my suggestions are based on your mill being an Altmill … if this isn’t the case then please explain your setup in detail. The error 50 that is not supposed to exist is a puzzler!
@Roysecreekdesigns Welcome to the group, Darrell.
Can you post a screen cap of the error you are seeing? Generally error 10 is the estop-related error. As the others have said, error 50 does not seem to be on the list.
@Roysecreekdesigns Thanks much for posting that. It’s an error that is not listed on the Sienci site so I was no help at all.
I’m sure that Daniel will get you fixed up. Please report back when your issue is resolved and what the resolution was. It will help others going forward.
