I have been considering the GControl computer for quite some time, but I don’t want another Windows machine to deal with. In the July Production Update, Andy mentioned a lower priced alternative. Does anyone have any insight what is in store?
I’m considering alternatives, but I keep coming back to GControl unless a Raspberry Pi option becomes available that is preloaded with GSender with proven reliability. Finally, are there any low cost alternatives to GControl that anyone has found to be reliable?
It’s still in development/testing but we’re still exploring options. It’s a Pi compute module-based solution using a touch forward version of the gSender UI. I think one prototype is getting shown off at IWF in two weeks/in blog but it’s been relatively positive feedback so far.
Not much to share past that for now, there will be a little more info in the September production update.
