@rippe71 Welcome to the group.
Am I understanding correctly that you have a self-built CNC? Your controller is an arduino uno. What version of grbl have you flashed it with?
Can you provide a bit more information about the crashes?
1 . Are you trying connect with grbl and not grblHal?
2. When gSender “crashes”, does Windows freeze? Can you use task manager to close gSender?
3. When you re-installed gSender, did you follow the advice on this forum regarding re-naming files before simply installing gSender again.
4. When you say that you re-installed “both”, do you mean that you did a complete re-install of windows 10? Do you have the ESA for windows 10?
5, Your PC is running a Core I3 processor. Are you saying that you have installed only 2Gb of ram?
This and any other information that you can provide will help members provide more valuable advice.
@rippe71 @gwilki - I don’t know if you remember Grant but I had a similar issue back in September of last year with 1.5.5. Never did figure it out but it all of a sudden just installed correctly. It took about 5-8 (don’t remember how many) tries over a two day period. Tried several times to re-download and still failed. BSOD each time with no feedback. My PC has 16gb storage with 1.5tb disk space so memory and disk was not an issue.
@Heyward43 I had forgotten that, H. Thanks for reminding me. Your experience may help @rippe71 overcome his problem.
