Been using Vcarve pro and Gsender for almost 2 years. With very few issues, recently upgraded to SLB, now my carve depth double’s randomly when running.
To be clear depth parameters change during a run.
Switched back to the longboard and it still does this.
I am sure there is a simple setting or solution I am missing
Anyone have any ideas?
What machine? Sounds like a mechanical issue on the Z. Something loose?
Could also be a slipping endmill?
Longmill MK2 30x48 bit slippage was ruled out. Z hardware all tight.
Thank you for you r expertise and suggestions. I’ll keep plugging away. Start from square 1 until I find it. Thanks again
What about a wiring issue with the Z motor? If you jog through the full range of your Z, especially in multiple locations in your work envelope, can you recreate the issue? Try moving the wires for the Z motor while jogging. Can you check all connections/terminals as well?
Great idea! I’ll give it a go tomorrow morning Thank you!
Will update as I find solution.
Checked all wired terminals, all okay, reverted to longboard, Gsender 1.4.4 set every thing back to defaults, dummy ran the same progam that was giving me issues, ran with no issues other than an Error 33 a end of run. suo I would consider theis a success! going back to resolve Error 33 changing post processor to mm instead of IN and rerun.
the humidity in my shop is 30% reletive humidity, maybe a small amount of dielectric grease to the terminals be of help? any opinions???
update : went back to SLB downloaded Gsender 1.4.11 rechecked the connections. reset ethernet, NOW this machine is running flawlessly, finished off the last of my Christmas projects= happy customers! ALSO happy camper here! Thanks to Neil for all your help and advise !
