Gsender not looking right

I am still trying to get my altmill surfaced. I used the wrong bit. I used a 2.5” bit and crashed. I now am going to use a 1” bit from IDC. However……………My Gsender main screen no longer shows a spindle slider and my feedrate slider is way to slow. How do I get my Gsender back to normal?
This is so frustrating.

@rratcliff69 If you have not already done so, turn everything off, the re-start - the AltMill controller and gSender. If you have already done that, have you homed the AltMill? If not, do that. Then make sure that spindle is selected and not laser.

@rratcliff69 You started two other posts asking for assistance but you have not responded to any of them. It might be more helpful to you and to the rest of the community if you engaged in your previous posts. Just sayin’

I am sorry. I really don’t know how this works. My apologies.

@rratcliff69 No problem. It’s just helpful to the community when the OP (original poster) responds back with some feedback or a solution. You are likely not the only one in this situation so your input can be useful to others.

And of course, we also don’t like talking into a void…

@rratcliff69 In addition to what @gwilki said, some information can be missing if gSender shows a disconnected status (i.e disconnected from the SLB). So make sure your SLB is powered on and gSender shows that it is connected.

There’s also a sequence that you need to follow when powering on everything:

  1. VFD
  2. SLB
  3. gSender (sequence not important but you may need to reconnect)

Thanks I will try the order suggested. I still don’t know why the VFD flashes.

@rratcliff69 The VFD with a flashing 7500 is normal when it’s not in use. When using it, the display will show the actual RPM.

thanks for the quick response.

If the spindle tab and slider is not showing up, make sure it’s enabled in Config. You can find it in the Spindle/Laser section.
