GSender won't "Start"

Connecting to GSender via intranet

GSender accepts loading of file (no problem all day…)
GSender displays file as loaded
GSender will “Outline” project correctly

When told to “Run” file GSender runs the last surfacing path…
Rebooted GSender

GSender accepts loading of file
GSender displays file as loaded
GSender will “Outline” project correctly
When told to “Run” file GSender turns on router, but router does not move

Rebooted LongMill
Rebooted control computer

Problem remains

Powered down everything
Powered up everything

GSender accepts loading of file
GSender displays file as loaded
GSender will “Outline” project correctly
When told to “Run” file GSender turns on router, but router does not move.

Won’t work when “Outline” isn’t done.
Manual controls all work.

Help!

@qrupc02 What CNC machine do you have?

LongMill with “old” control board.

@qrupc02 Be sure to choose grbl and not grblHal for your connection. It is easy to confuse them in the drop down menu.

I tried again with a completely different tool path. Everything was shutdown. I restarted the works, created a new tool path and it completed the path successfully.

If you want a copy of the tool path that didn’t work, let me know.

Very frustrating afternoon with a good ending.

@qrupc02 I’m not competent to diagnose it, but there are members here who are. If you want to post the gcode file, they may be able to help you avoid similar problems in the future.

I think it had to do with the surfacing program. It seemed to get stuck after surfacing.
