Hi, I’m having problems with the back of my guitar neck, the back of the neck radius is always off, one side is always thinner than the other ??? I thought it was a centerline problem, I’ve tried so many things, 2 dowels on the centerline, 4 dowels, screws, tape, it doesn’t make any difference. Always the same results. I made the CAM with fusion 360, I have even remodeled the whole neck ??? Could it be the machine ? Annonce had the same problem ? Thanks for your Help ! (First post here)
@GEMCust0m Welcome to the group, Nicolas.
I’ve moved your post to the Fusion360 board so that users of Fusion will be sure to see it.
One question. You say “annonce had the same problem”. Can you clarify that, please?
Hey there! I, too, had this issue when I first started making necks. The problem I had was that the machine was skipping steps. Slowing down the feed rate and/or using more step-downs greatly helped. If you’d like to share your file, I’d be happy to take a look at it. Also what machine are you using?
Thanks, heheheh French auto correct
annonce = anyone ![]()
Hi there, I’m using the Longmill MKII, I don’t know why but I can’t share the link in the forum ![]()
Thanks
Can you put the file on a file sharing site and send the link?
Not sure why you can’t post it here. ![]()
I get this message when I share the link (An error occurred: Sorry you cannot post a link to that host.) and Fusion 360 (educational) dosen’t allow me to download the file, only to share a link…
I’ll try your suggestions, it makes sens, I’ll go slower, shallower passes and I’ll do the test with pine or mdf (softer wood) and see If I get the same results. I’ll share the results. Thanks
I’m not sure what’s going on with Sienci and the forum side of things as I don’t work there. But you can export any file from Fusion to your own hard drive.
