I used EASEL to create my project and gSENDER to control my Ginmitsu 3020 pro max V2. I have this type of project before with no problems. I am cutting a 3 inch round pocket 1/2” deep and then cutting a name using a 60 degree V-bit. Two problems arose.
1 - when I tried to run the hollowing out the pocket, the machine would run about 1/4 of the turn and the stop and hold. I had to press start and it would progress another 1/4 turn and hold. Pressing start would complete another cycle. This had to be repeated over and over again. Any ideas as to why?
2 - The pocket was cut 0.5 inches deep. Then I replaced the bit with a 60 degree V-bit to cut out a name across the bottom of the pocket. I set the depth of cut to be 0.6 inches, restarted the cnc. The bit moved into position and carved at about 0.1 inches down from the original surface. It never got close to the bottom of the pocket. Any suggestions to fix the problem?
