@cdnkiwi I’ve tried this method, using CA glue. There is no doubt that it makes it easier to ensure that the two layers of tape line up. However, I found that it has the same disadvantage as double-sided tape. That is, the tape that adheres to the work piece is not securely shtuck.
To me, one of the benefits of the blue tape and glue method over double-sided tape is that I have access to both the spoilboard and the work piece before they are stuck together. That allows me to very firmly press the tape onto both surfaces. With double-sided tape, that’s not possible. Gluing the two pieces of blue tape together creates a “pseudo” double-sided tape, with the same inherent issue.
All that said, if it is working for you, go for it. As we often say here, there is no one “right” way to do anything.

Correct, it’s quick and dirty. Not for anything needing precision.
