Is Gsender for the Longmill only?

@Ekkhanlon Hey Ed, welcome to the forum. Great folks, willing to assist. From what I know, GSender sis an open sourced software. Meaning you could use it with other CNC machines. I don’t know that for a fact, as I have a LongMill. It seems to me that they built the software for use with all CNC machines. You should be able to find documentation on Sienci’s website regarding this. Introducing gSender | Sienci Labs

Best of luck with your quest. Someone may chime in if you provided the brand of machine you are attempting to use.

gSender should work with any vanilla GRBL machines. gSender Edge, the test bed for new features, has support for GRBL-HAL machines. The GRBL-HAL support will eventually be in the regular gSender but who knows when. I think a lot of people are probably using gSender Edge because it also has support for Sienci’s new Vortex rotary accessory.

@Ekkhanlon Welcome, Ed. @Jake and @_Michael have already answered your question. I’m late to the party. :grinning: I would only add that you will likely not want to use the feature of gSender that flashes your eeprom. You should get your firmware/eeprom from the manufacturer of your controller. You can then use gSender to save a copy of it on your PC, which you can then re-import if you run into firmware-related problems down the road.
