Laser function in a LongMill

Oh cool. I liked the simplicity of grbl but I wasn’t impressed with the quality of burns i got from it. Yeah I have about a week left of lightburn as well. I have vcarve pro definitely worth the money and they have a new laser module you can purchase for 50 dollars fired rite into the software pretty nice add on.

So It seems you have tried Vcarve, Light burn and LaserGRBL your later posts dont mention laserGRBL. am I correct in thinking the value of Vcarve laser and lighburn outweigh the freebieness of LaserGRBL. I just got my laser attached to the longmill and now am trying to looking serously at Lightburn (LB). What did you put in for type of GRBL in the set up section of LB

Yes, LightBurn was, IMHO, much better than the others (except for Vcarve laser module). Nothing too special. Set dimensions, set lower left for origin, turned on enable laser fire button (allows you to set low power for positioning). Look picture over.
