I just updated the gSender 1.4.10 and I am having issues with Z 0 changing on its on. The carve starts out fine and then just digs deep after working fine for a while. I have stopped and then restarted all over again and it does it again but at a separate location but early in the carve.
Any help would be appreciated. I am running the LongMill Mk2 48x30 with SLB., and using VCarve Pro 12.007
@Jedimark It would help, James, if you would post your gcode file.
Here is the gcode file
unionborder_1-unionborder.gcode.txt (685 Bytes)
Warning! I might know just enough GCode to be dangerous. Not an expert on it yet.
Line 10 is G04P5, is that a mistake? I know G0 is rapid move and I think it needs an axis before a number whereas G4P5 would be a dwell as far as I can tell. I see it’s right after the spindle is turned on, presumably to let it get to speed. I don’t know if the zero could effect anything that happens later if it is a mistake.
Other than that it looks a carve on the XY plane using inches and absolute distance mode. I don’t see any crazy Z moves or anything.
@_Michael G04 and G4 are interchangeable.
What post processor are you using in VCarve?
Is the problem only present on this one file?
Did this file run OK in gSender 1.4.9 or whatever version you were running before updating to 1.4.10?
You have chosen grbl Hal and not grbl in the connection drop down in gSender, yes?
