Mac or Windows for CAD/CAM software?

If your interest is just CAM, and you already have the model/design, then DeskProto works on Windows, Mac, and Linux. It will let you do a fair amount of stuff, multi-axis (>3) even, and if you don’t have commercial needs, there’s a “hobbyist” license that gets you the big kahuna version for ~quarter-price. There’s also a less-capable free version.

Although I’m also massively happy to see the lightburn folks getting involved, even more so that they’re getting the same table as I’ve ordered :slight_smile: Given LB works on the Mac, I’m hoping (expecting, going to pop over and check it out) that MillMage will too :slight_smile:

Hi all, not sure how relevant still, but I have started development of a native Mac cam-package. Still in the alpha phase, but generating grbl and mach3 code is already being tested on my cnc.
