MDF size for 2x4 AltMill

Does anyone know the size of the main/single MDF sheet needed for the 2x4

The 4x4 says take a regular sheet and cut it down to 51.75" ( Wasteboard 🟫 - AltMill CNC )

Based on the dimensions,

Do I take a 4x4 sheet and cut it so it is 4ft x 34.33"

The width for the 2x4 and the 4x4 should be the same. If that’s the case, your MDF spoilboard would also be 51.75". But the depth will be less than 48". On the 4x4, the 48" spoilboard does not extend all the way to the rear of the Altmill. On the 2x4, it can. So I’m guessing 51.75" x 34.33".

Great question! The team is adding the answer to the AltMill resource page.

As @Chucky_ott mentioned, MDF wasteboard size should be 51.75" x 34.3" to occupy the entire table/bed.

Thanks! Do you know what the spoilboard strip length should be afterwards? Would it also be 34.3" long?

(Width will depend on # of t-tracks)
