New CNC Owner- Y Axis Jogging Problems

New Altmill MK2 4x4.

I have a ticket in as well, but I thought I would post in here incase someone sees a hair brained easy fix that I would have missed. Enclosed is all I have tried thus far

Right Y-axis stalls at speed, left side runs normal.

At five hundred millimeters per minute, both sides track together after restoring Y steps per millimeter from two hundred back to three twenty.

At three thousand, right side still stalls.

Homing throws alarm 8 twice — pull-off travel failed to clear limit switch.

Blue relay light stays on with all motors connected.

Couplers have zero play.

Both ball screws spin freely by hand.

Both motor LEDs solid green.

Y1 and Y2 cables confirmed in correct ports, all reseated.

Bearing block screws were found loose during assembly, now tightened.

Ganged axes direction invert tested on and off — on made it worse, left off.

DIP switches on both Y motors: OFF OFF OFF ON ON. I did not touch anything there.

Hope this helps and any help is appreciated

@egcollective What does this mean exactly? What are you observing?

Also, are you able to run a complete homing sequence? It’s easier to troubleshoot if you home each axis separately. To do that, enable the toggle below the coordinates. The buttons on the left then change to HX, HY, and HZ. Pressing those will home the respective axis.

There are settings in gSender to change the pull off distance

disregard, and thank you for the insight. Sienci called me and walked me through the issues where i had the bump stops separate from the sensors. Thank you so much for your help
