New to me Longmill

Hi All

After 2 years away from my Longmill it now makes it triumphant return to me. I will be building a new table setup for it and am looking for ideas or plans for a table that can be stored vertically to save on space. I have the 48x30 and I want to maintain the ability to work on passthrough projects. Any ideas, pictures or outright plans would be greatly apprediated.

TIA

Fisher’s Mobile Assembly Table seems to be a popular choice amongst original Onefinity owners. I imagine it would also work for a Longmill. Not sure if the Longmill holds up well to vertical storage due to its lack of ballscrews, but that’s a different issue.

Hello Philip,

If you have room above the shop, you might be able to lift the machine out of the way if not needed. This frees up a lot of floor space. I unfortunately cannot do this, but seen someone mention that setup.

If I would have the space up there, I would go that route for sure. My 48x30 is dominating my space.

@Spamming_Eddie that’s what I don’t want. I will use it often but don’t want to take all the space in the garage. The other table that was mentioned in the first reply is overkill for my needs so I will keep looking. Thanks for your help.

@Phildo There are topics on the forum about mounting a Long Mill on a vertical or tilting table. A search will bring them up. Also, there is at least on youtube video on the Sienci channel where Chris shows a vertical table.

Hi @gwilki thanks for the info. Not looking for a vertical running solution. Just looking for vertical storage

@Phildo Understood. You can simply use the storage feature of the installation without running it vertically.
