Plates the cover the ends of the "Y" rails

When assembling my 2x4 Altmill I thought I followed the instructions perfectly. But when I put the plates on 3 of the 4 plates overlapped the plating from the legs by just the tiniest amount. Just two hairs and a whisker. You cannot force them apart. So I let them lap. The problem start after I completed assembly. The “Y” axis sounded terrible and did not run smoothly. I got a whole bunch of things to try from the folks from Sienci. One was to adjust the endplates. I ended up grinding the plates to clear the leg plates. That got all of the plates perpendicular to the “Y” rails. The key one was the back ones which hold the motors. Things got better but not great. In one of the instructions I need to loosen the coupling between the motor and the “Y” shaft. As soon as I did that there was a small pop and the coupling move forward on the shaft. I just retightened and now the “Y” rails are running just great.
