PSA: check your nuts

I was doing a bit of cleanup on my Altmill table this morning and while at the back of the machine, I happened to touch the Y2 inductive sensor. It was loose. Same with Y1. Not the type of thing I’d regulary check unless I was having problems.

Not sure if loctite will help but I’ll give it a try. I’ll also add checking nuts and bolts to my maintenance schedule.

Yup, posted about this some time back. The sensor nuts but also the little screws on the spindle motor connector (the screws for the strain relief)

Great suggestion, of course my spindle sensor nut was loose. Must be the constant minor vibrations from the spindle that shakes it loose.
