Good evening LongMill fans. I have had my 30x30 for just over a month and all has gone well, until now. My issue pertains to the Home Button. I have read all the past questions and responses pertaining to this issue and have tried all the suggested solutions posted by the community. I’ve become so frustrated that I finally reset g-Sender. I can operate again, but the Home Button is still gone. I’ve tried G28 X0 Y0 Z0 without success. I can move the XYZ back to the front right corner and reset all to zero, but the small coordinates under the zeros reference another location. I assume the small coordinates should indicate the home position. I would really appreciate a solution. Oh yeah. I am an 81 year old woodworker that swore I would never have a CNC. Be nice.
@lorange Welcome to the group. (We are all nice here. )
To be clear, you are using gSender, correct? You’ve posted this in the UGS category. I’ll move it if you confirm that you are using gSender.
Hi,
If the homing button is missing in GSender make sure the $22 Homing Cycle is turned on in the firmware settings.
The big number is the workspace coordinates and the small number is the machine coordinates.
The workspace coordinates can be zeroed anywhere by probing or using the “ZeroX”, “ZeroY”, or ZeroZ buttons. The “Go XY0” button moves the machine to the workspace home/zero position.
The machine coordinates are zeroed with the limit switches when a homing cycle is ran by pressing the “Home” button, and below one of the four buttons will have a house on it to move the machine to the machine home/zero position.
@lorange As you have not replied to my question, I have made the executive decision to move your question to the gSender category.
