Router power cord location

I am setting up my 4x4 Altmill and I am running a router (Carbide ER-11) until I can get my hands on an enclosed 2.2 KW spindle. I have a question for folks that are also running a router and where they have their power cord running-

My router power cord is pretty long (12ft), but when running it through the drag chains, it is about 1ft short of hanging down the front. Is there another way people have strung up their cords, or would you run an extension cord through the drag chain?

I tried checking out others pictures with router setups, but I couldn’t quite figure things out from there.

@mons0160 Do you have a dust shoe and hose? If so, you could run the cord along the hose. I don’t see why an extension cord wouldn’t work, as long as it’s not too long and adequately rated.

You could have the junction between the extension and the router where the x drag chain meets the Y drag chain.

or just buy an extension cord that’s longer, and diy into the router, clean cheap solution
